  Khalid Al-Maskari

  Chief Executive Officer and Founder

  With 20+ years in health care, Khalid Al-Maskari is considered a thought leader by peers in the integrated health care field. As Chief Executive Officer of Health Information Management Systems (HiMS), Khalid rapidly grew the company from a single Tucson-based customer to achieve a multi-state presence. As a goal-oriented executive with demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing innovative technologies and information solutions that serve the diverse needs of integrated health populations, Khalid likes to inspire his team to think big. Always striving to add to his knowledge base, Khalid sought out certification opportunities. He earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration and achieved certifications in project management, Microsoft Products, CISSP and several others. Nationally, Khalid went on to provide assistance and guidance as co-chair for CCHIT’s Security Workgroup as a result of implementation of HIPAA rules, and was an Electronic Health Records Security proctor for several years.

  Edward Nelson

  Chief Operating Officer

  As a transformational executive with foresight and imagination, Edward has an impressive history of surpassing ambitious business objectives and delivering revolutionary technology innovations to the healthcare industry. He comes to us with an extensive record of opening new revenue streams, delivery of operational excellence throughout every facet of an organization, embracing a true team philosophy, while creating a collaborative approach to exceed both revenue and operational goals. With more than 15 years of experience within the healthcare technology field, Edward has demonstrated both an entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial spirt. With an innate ability to quickly identify and actualize valuable ideas that maximize organizational capabilities, operations, expand service offering, increased market share both domestic and internationally, achieved through cost-effective solutions. Edward holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, which he achieved during his time serving in the United States Navy, additionally he holds various Six Sigma Certifications. During his spare time he competes in various endurance running events and is an active volunteer within his community.

  Kirk Masters

  Chief Revenue Officer

  Kirk is the catalyst for HiMS’s revenue performance management initiative and the steward of its success across all marketing, sales and partnership functions. As a visionary architect, he is driving better integration and alignment between all revenue-related areas. creating an authentic and profitable revolution for the company. 17 years of SAAS sales experience has allowed Kirk to gain and leverage momentum in direct, value-added and partne- based sales. Not limited just to the U.S. markets, Kirk has been instrumental in developing territories, quotas and profitable partnerships in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific and creating amazingly productive and profitable partners. Kirk understands and embraces the differences between marketing, sales and partnerships, while at the same time establishing processes to ensure their coordination across the entire company and client life cycle. All this is driven by the passion to better help health care providers improve the lives of their patients and employees daily.

  Tania Capin

  Director of Business Operations

  Tania is a dedicated operations professional and recognized leader who excels at using process methods and technology to successfully cut costs, streamline operations and increase company productivity. A consummate strategic planner with extensive experience in the disciplines of operations, finance and communications, she drives projects to successful outcomes via process optimization. Notable career highlights include co-authoring a neighborhood intervention guide to help citizens reclaim neighborhoods from the negative impacts of drugs, designing and implementing the Pima County Anti-Meth Public Awareness Campaign which generated a 246% ROI on media expenditures, and producing a community Town Hall in tandem with A & E’s award-winning television program Intervention.

  Armida Miranda

  Director of Operations - MIS

  With a proven track record in the MIS domain of behavioral health, Armida brings a wealth of experience to HiMS acting as a liaison between users, operations and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications and troubleshooting. She has held management positions since 2004 and parlayed her extensive knowledge of database management, financial processes and EHR ecosystems into successful reporting outcomes for customers.

  Shawn Tener

  Lead Software Developer

  Lead Software Developer Shawn Tener has over 13 years of software development experience in the health care industry. He received his Bachelors degree in software engineering from the University of Advancing Technology and is an EHR integration expert for electronic labs, HIE connectivity, faxing and phone automation. Shawn was the lead developer on multiple Meaningful Use certifications for HiMS software.
