Mega R. Mease, known as the “Everyday Ordinary Healer,” is a Holistic Health Entrepreneur and founder/ owner of the Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics and the CAET Community Wellness Volunteer Program in Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, she is on the Board of the National Alliance of Energy Practitioners. Her passion is providing a vehicle in which others learn to live a happier, healthier existence. She describes her pathway to success as a long, sometimes treacherous, and yet exciting winding road. Her work evolved slowly and sometimes painfully out of her natural abilities and life circumstances rather than clear-cut goals that were mindfully planned. Therefore, she sees her work as a life “calling” rather than a sought-after career. When asked, “Who are you, and what do you do?” she answers with an ear-to-ear grin: “Today, I am fully engaged in a life of joy, authenticity, and fulfillment. Holistic health isn’t only a professional path; it’s my lifestyle. Family and friends are my greatest treasures; my work is my play, and service is my nurture.” People from all walks of life and ages come to her seeking stress reduction, relaxation, and guidance. These include those with mental, emotional, and physical challenges as well as people with life-threatening diseases. Her rare deep-seated wisdom regarding manifestation can be experienced in the energy healing, health, wealth, relationship, and business arenas. Relationships have long been a source of intrigue for Tiffany M. Bastedo, owner of Accelerated JoyWorks. Over the years, her curiosity fueled a deep passion for supporting others in finding their way home to loving themselves and others in a safe, meaningful, and purposeful manner. Amanda B. Smith LMT

Amanda B. Smith, a graduate of the Cortiva Institute Advanced Program in Tucson, Arizona, is a highly valued contributor to our CAET team of skilled practitioners. Becoming a massage therapist was a natural progression and perfect choice that grew out of her experience as a certified personal trainer. While it's challenging to describe Amanda's unique form of massage, her clients, always sing her praises as they walk out the door. David B. Blum LMT

David B. Blum LMT is a graduate of the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts/Cortiva Institute, located in Tucson Arizona. His work supports others in attaining the very best in physical and mental health. You may expect an environment of healing, caring, and safety from this skilled and knowledgeable professional. David works closely with other healthcare providers to facilitate a multi-faceted approach to wellness and maintenance for his clients. His skills reach much farther than the ordinary massage therapist. He has many years of physical therapy experience in the treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal and soft tissue disorders and dysfunctions. He is experienced in all facets of manual therapy and teaches these techniques as well. His ever-expanding menu of offerings includes; Therapeutic, Sports, Cancer and Pre-natal Massage, Strain/Counterstrain, Myofascial Release, and Craniosacral, As a certified Kinesio Taping professional he utilizes a variety of techniques with a specially designed tape to perform multiple functions. Clients receive help with muscle relaxation or facilitation, stabilization of joints, assistance with motion as well as provide lymphatic drainage. David’s pathway to a career in the health and wellness industry began with the intention of attending medical school to become a physician. While investing a year and a half working as an orderly in a hospital operating room it became evident that becoming a physician would most certainly rule out a much-desired life outside of work and eliminate time to enjoy family. This was essential for his own personal well-being so he began investigating career opportunities within other departments. David found Physical Therapy to be a great fit and began working his way up from a volunteer, to a technician and finally landing the position of Physical Therapy Assistant. During his 27 year career in this position, he continued to increase his knowledge and develop his orthopedic skills. Additionally, he studied myofascial release, strain counterstrain, muscle energy techniques, craniosacral therapy, Kinesiotaping, acupressure, and biofeedback. David’s vast experience includes working with patients suffering from a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, cardiopulmonary, burns, podiatric conditions, TMJ, migraine headaches, chemical dependency, and wound care. Another life-altering change came about for David in 2006. He felt that the existing health care system had slowly become less and less about caring for patients and more about money and productivity. This did not mesh with his idea of proper care and nurturing of patients. What a blessing in disguise as this led him to enroll at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson Arizona. As a happy 2007 graduate, David immediately set out to start his own practice; ending up at The Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics. He is now free to provide the level of care that his clients deserve without the constraints of the health care system. As with all CAET Practitioners, David is constantly seeking new skills to add to his repertoire in order to better serve his clients.

Andra S. Ewton

Andra S. Ewton is a certified Usui Reiki Master-Teacher and talented animal Reiki practitioner. In love with animals since childhood, she has made herself available to assist animals in need, whether it be an injured animal, lost pet, or wildlife in need of rehabilitation. As an adult she lives this love out largely as owner of Andra's Animal Reiki Therapy which is “The perfect complement to veterinary care." Her deep love and caring for animals were obvious since childhood, propelling her to a life filled with assisting animals. At times this may be someone's lost or sick pet, an injured animal, or wildlife in need of rehabilitation or habitat preservation. Her path was paved and then Reiki "found" her. She enrolled in a First Degree class shortly after receiving my first Reiki session in 1999. The benefits of this profound healing system became evident through giving daily Reiki sessions to herself and her pets. It was a natural progression to begin giving Reiki to other people’s animals and their humans. Recognizing the value of sharing Reiki in a larger way, she continued her training, becoming a Certified Reiki Master-Teacher in 2005. Andra began her Reiki studies in 1999, completing her Usui Master-Teacher certification in 2005. This was followed by Karuna Practitioner-One and Two Reiki instruction. Her entire energy healing education has been received here at the Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics under the direction of Mega R. Mease. Andra is an ardent student of energy healing so continues her studies to better serve those seeking wellness for their animals. We are proud to include her as a part of our expert healing team. Her specialty is teaching Animal-oriented Reiki Basics- level one training. These are small tailored classes for pet owners who are interested in giving Reiki to their own animals and professionals who desire to incorporate complementary methods into their practice. They are available at the CAET or in-house by request at professional veterinary clinics.
