Dr. Jenny Mai, DDS
General DentistDr. Jenny Mai is thrilled to join the practice and serve the greater Oro Valley community! A California native with deep desert roots, Dr. Mai was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California before her family made the move to Tucson during her middle school years. It was here, nestled near the breathtaking Tucson Mountains in southwest Tucson, that she spent her formative years — the second half of childhood and the earliest chapters of adulthood — that shaped who she is today. Dr. Mai went on to attend University High School and Cholla High School's IB Program before earning her Bachelor's degree in Physiology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Arizona. She then pursued her passion for dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, setting her on the path to the career she loves today. With a personal goal of experiencing life across the country, Dr. Mai made California her final chapter before returning to Tucson — spending time on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, where she embraced the slower pace of coastal living while navigating one of life's greatest adventures: becoming a mother. But Tucson always had a special pull — after all, it's the city that shaped her youth and the place where her husband Zach, a born-and-raised Tucson native, calls home. It's also where Zach proposed to her at the iconic Gates Pass in the Tucson Mountains, making that stretch of desert forever extra meaningful. Now, Dr. Mai and Zach are overjoyed to return to the city they love, eager to raise their one-year-old son surrounded by desert sunsets, cherished family memories, and both sets of grandparents. Rounding out the family is Titan, their beloved 13-year-old dog whom the couple adopted as a puppy during their college days. Dr. Mai is passionate about building meaningful connections with her patients and is excited to bring her warmth, expertise, and deep community roots to the practice. Welcome home, Dr. Mai!
